Mission Statement
The Malta Hospice Movement is a voluntary organisation inspired by Christian values. It exists to provide and promote the highest standards of palliative care for all persons with cancer, motor neurone disease and other terminal diseases. It also aims to help and support their families and carers.
Island Residence Club at The Radisson SAS Resort
The Malta Hospice Movement has now acquired an official corporate sponsor, namely Resort Properties' Island Residence Club at Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa.
The movement exists to provide and promote the highest possible standards of palliative care for people with cancer or motor neurone disease, and to help and support their families.
Hospice or palliative care is the active total care of patients whose disease is no longer responsive to curative treatment and for whom the goal must be the best possible quality of life for them and their families.
On 17th January 2006 the Malta Hospice Movement received their first charitable donation from the Island Residence Club for the sum of €1,164.69.
The continued support from this corporate sponsorship programme will assist the Malta Hospice Movement in continuing the valuable work they do for patients in need of expert care.
From 2007 to 2009 the Island Residence Club has assisted in various activities ranging from fundraising, building works and away days.
